Sue Lovegrove's paintings focus on the beauty and value of water, both within the physical environment and as part of our psychological and emotional wellbeing. This exhibition explores the shimmering light and phenomena of water, wind and weather around the fluctuating wetlands of Tasmania as well as captivating waterholes in Central Australia. The intricate, large-scale works and phenomenally detailed miniatures both demonstrate Sue's ability to capture, as she describes, the fragility and fleeting nature of life sustained by these small unassuming bodies of water - the constantly shifting light patterns, the melancholy darkness and the movement of wind imprinting on the surface. The exhibition runs from 25 March to 11 April 2021. Tuesday - Sunday 10am-5pm.
