Sydney artist Min-woo Bang presents a new body of work in his solo exhibition at Mitchell Fine Art in Fortitude Valley. In this exhibition, Bang explores the tumultuous emotions associated with grief and loss through the natural environment as a metaphor. Showing from 2nd to 20th of July 2024 at Mitchell Fine Art, 86 Arthur Street, Fortitude Valley. An exhibition opening event will be held on the 13th, accompanied by a musical performance from renowned violinist Hoejin Kim. All events are free. California-based mixed media artist Nancy Jo Ward is bringing her evocative portraits to the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum for Japan’s 23rd International Art Exchange Exhibition June 15-20, 2024. Ward creates rich, emotionally resonant figurative art using a hybrid approach that includes digital drawing, painting, and the use of gold and silver foils. Blurring the lines between pixels, paint, and algorithms, she shapes unique images that dive deep within the minds and hearts of her subjects.

Darwin-based artist Franck Gohier returns to Mitchell Fine Art in Brisbane with his new exhibition ‘Love and other Catastrophes’. Delving into the cliche narratives and imagery of romance in the comics of yesteryear, Gohier provokes thought on whether society has truly progressed or merely shifted its facade. The exhibition is showing from 14th May to 1st June, with an opening to held on Saturday 18th May from 2 - 4pm.
