Welcome to the online opening event with Dr Jurij Alschitz and the Team of Teachers! The Online Theatre Academy is the newest offering from the World Theatre Training Institute AKT-ZENT/ITI to the international theatre community. It is the necessary answer to the rapid cultural development in regards to our digitally connected globalised world. We all see how human nature is changing and demanding different training. Dr Jurij Alschitz and his international team of teachers have developed new teaching concepts for the professionalization of changing artistic practice. Going online - is just a format; the stage remains in the centre for theatre artists while other new media possibilities naturally give birth to new forms of artistic expression.

The My Valley, My Home virtual choir project is currently recruiting members to learn and develop a wide variety of musical and performance skills and techniques from the comfort and safety of their own home. The impact of COVID on the creative arts was dramatic with the last minute closure of galleries forcing the cancellation of art exhibitions. COLOUR was one of those exhibitions that was rescheduled to later in 2020. The pandemic created a lot of behind the scenes negotiations through winter, and now that springtime is here, it's almost the time to travel to Redcliffe Old Fire Station Gallery and immerse in COLOUR.
Striving for the pursuit of artistic perfection is the backbone of the annual RASart Exhibition of Excellence and is testimony to the passion of the 400+ strong membership of Redcliffe Art Society (RAS). From very humble beginnings back in the late 1950's the success that followed a local art competition fueled the passionate drive to constitute the Art Society in 1961 and planted the seed for RAS to champion the arts. Much of the council's art collection contains winning RAS artworks. The current competition is therefore aptly named.

PDNB Gallery is devoting its gallery space and website to Earlie Hudnall, one of our most treasured artists that has been with the gallery since 1997. The Copyright Agency today announced, in conjunction with UNSW Galleries, that due to the ongoing restrictions surrounding COVID-19, the 2020 John Fries Award winner announcement and exhibition will be postponed until 2021 to ensure a safe and inclusive platform for finalists and audiences. The winner will be announced at the opening event on 13 March 2021 with the exhibition open to the public until 17 April 2021.
