WYNDHAM CITY ANNOUNCE FREE FRIDAY NIGHT SERIES
Supporting the local music community, Wyndham City is committed to delivering on their “Music in Our City” program and providing emerging artists, cultural projects and community activation in public spaces.
Surrounded by numerous food and beverage vendors, the three diversely themed nights offer something for everyone, running from 5pm - 10pm.
Friday February 10th will showcase ’80’s Family Fun’, headlined by Australian new wave band Pseudo Echo who pioneered the 1980’s electro sound in Australia and quickly established themselves as one of the most successful and influential bands in the country. Alongside Pseudo Echo will be banjo driven Happy Enchilada, Blues-folk-rock outfit Trent Hamilton, the enchanting Jessica Paige, Troy Barrett and Niall Dunsmore.
Friday February 17th will offer a highlight of local Melbourne talent with their 'Songwriters Showcase’. Performing with more than 25 years experience in the music industry, Charles Jenkins (Mad Turks from Istanbul, Icecream Hands and RocKwiz) will bring his critically acclaimed songwriting to the stage, followed by independent blues/soul troubadour Shaun Kirk, Folk-Grunge Duo Little Georgia, rock fused neo-soul artist Lisa Mary Drake, Bob Dylan reincarnations Jack Gramski and Van Walker .
Friday February 24th will close the series with ‘Go Americana’. Promising to enthral audiences of all ages with the Dan Parsons Trio, acoustic five-piece Stetson Family, CMC New Oz Artist of the year nominee and Telstra Road to Discovery Grand Finalist Gretta Ziller, husband and wife duo The Weeping Willows and poignant and emotive storyteller Nigel Wearne.
