White Lung have dosed us with another visceral video, this time for single ‘Face Down’ – lifted from their upcoming full-length album Deep Fantasy, out Friday June 13. Following a raucous show at The Great Escape Festival last weekend , the band return to the UK next week for a sold-out London headline at the 100 Club before embarking on their first ever Australian tour, which takes in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne in early June.

"Honest, authentic and boundlessly entertaining, White Lung might well boast punk's most exciting frontwoman of the year – and some of its biggest tunes" - NME

"Mish Way is one of the smartest and fiercest singers in the underground" – Rolling Stone

Vocalist Mish Way explains of the video: "Basically, I had this really big vision for it where I wanted to rip off two different old videos, one involving Anthony Kiedis. But then, I asked Pierce McGarry to do it and I knew he would have a totally different perspective and make it all "Pierce", which was exactly what I wanted. His filming style reflects this L7 video I love, 'Stuck Here Again' and he turned it out."

Deep Fantasy is the band's third full length and proves White Lung to be every bit as confrontational as before, but it appears that Vancouver's hard hitting rock n' roll outfit have opened their sound up just enough to draw listeners in – named one of Rolling Stone's 10 New Artists You Need To Hear, and today earning another Best New Track on Pitchfork for 'Face Down'. After a year plus of near constant touring behind last album, Sorry — which won raves from Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and Interview — White Lung slimmed to a trio in the studio; Mish Way, drummer Anne-Marie Vassiliou and guitarist Kenneth William. Deep Fantasy was made primarily in Vancouver with producer Jesse Gander (who also did both Sorry and their 2010 debut It's the Evil) in just two ten day-long sessions at the end of last year and the start of this one. Kenneth William handled bass duties on Deep Fantasy while Wax Idols' Hether Fortune will take up bass and backing vocal duties on tour for the foreseeable future.

Celebrated for their electric live performances – with what's destined to be their breakthough record, Deep Fantasy in tow – White Lung's June headline dates will see the four-piece preview these new songs across the week prior to the album's official release, joined by Adalita, Bloods and Upset at their respective shows.
