Walsh Bay set to provide a feast for the senses with DECKCHAIR ARTS
After last year’s success with Walsh Bay Arts Table, this March, Walsh Bay Arts and Commerce will welcome guests to pull up a deckchair and ease into autumn with the amazing performing arts showcase, Deckchair Arts. @WalshBayAC #WalshBayArtsAndCommerce
The well-loved deckchairs from the Writers Festival will return to Walsh Bay with chairs set up outside Simmer on the Bay. Guests will be invited to take a seat and be treated to delicious food, drinks and an incredible afternoon of vibrant music, performance and dance against the backdrop of the stunning Sydney Harbour.
Part of Sydney Morning Herald Spectrum Now presented by ANZ, Deckchair Arts is set to astonish arts-loving guests with a collection of unique vignettes from a wide range of performers. Combining artistic talent, artists and performers have come together to create a magical experience of Aboriginal dance, performance poetry and didgeridoo.
There will be a line up of amazing performers, including didgeridoo musician Matthew Doyle, spoken word performer Miles Merrill and special guest artist Tony Lewis, a talented percussionist and composer.
Guests on the day will be served an incredible selection of food from Simmer on the Bay’s renowned chef Brigid Kennedy, who will create delectable foods to be accompanied by a selection of fine wines. Deckchair Arts is set to be a memorable afternoon in Sydney’s arts hub Walsh Bay. A true feast for the senses!
