Wacom announces digital art competition winners
BY Wacom | 04-Jul-2018
More than 50 artists have been selected as winners of Wacom’s The Next Level competition, which attracted over 3,800 entries worldwide – 2,000 more than last year.
This year’s winners will have their artwork exhibited alongside renowned artists from across the globe, including Kelogsloops, Loretta Lizzio, Mark Conlan, Mateusz Witczak, Nosego and Paul Braddock.
“We are ecstatic and blown away every year by the calibre of entries that The Next Level receives. We love seeing the incredible work that artists and everyday creative enthusiasts are able to produce, and knowing that we can play a small part in that. There is nothing more inspiring to us here at Wacom and it gives us the motivation to keep doing what we’re doing as a company,” says Simon Marshall, Senior Manager Content and Strategy.
Winners will not only have their work exhibited and published in The Next Level publication featuring both national and international artwork, but if purchased at the exhibitions, will receive profits from the sale, less the production costs.
Adam Dunt from Melbourne is one of the talented artist’s who will be showcased throughout the exhibitions and says, “being a part of The Next Level and having my artwork featured alongside digital artists that I truly admire has been a great experience. During 2017, I visited all of the exhibitions across Australia and New Zealand and was really inspired by the power of The Next Level. The artwork on display and the live product demonstrations were unbelievably engaging! I give thanks to the team and artists involved for expanding my own imagination.”
