Abbotsford Convent invites you to join them on an intensive that encourages risk, rigour and artistic ambition!

'Valuing a Young Audience' is a supported two-stage creative intensive presented by Abbotsford Convent in association with Melbourne Fringe. Being held this July and led by the wonderful Sue Giles AM, this opportunity is for artists or groups who are curious about the art of making contemporary performance for children. The three successful applicants will also present showings of work-in-progress for feedback from children and families in Melbourne Fringe 2023.

Sue Giles AM has been commissioned by the Convent to develop and lead the intensive, appointing experts in the field of participatory arts practice to facilitate artistic exchange, development of practice and offer provocations.

ACF is keen to see work created for children and babies under 3, and ideas for outdoor settings, non-conventional spaces and our unique venues.

Head to the Convent's website to learn more, applications close 2 June.
