undergroundLOVERS Announce New Album, New Video & Christmas Show

Published by: Danae Effern | 4-Dec-2016
undergroundLOVERS celebrate the announcement of their eighth album titled Staring At You Staring At Me with the release of debut single 'Unbearable' and rare Christmas show at the Toff In Town featuring special guest Emily Ulman, Thursday 22 December.
Melbourne has always been the epicentre of indie music in Australia. And for much of the 1990s and 2000s, local band the undergroundLOVERS pushed sonic boundaries in a manner that made them cult favourites.

Staring At You Staring At Me is distinctively undergroundLOVERS. "The songs were originally written as a homage to Melbourne with specific locations and suburbs name scattered throughout", explains undergroundLOVERS vocalist Vince Giarrusso.

To take a sneak peak at the making of the album, including footage, video teasers and works in progress, via the concept page MELBOURNISM.

Set for release on December 16th through Rubber Records, 'Unbearable' is a melancholic song with an unbearable melody that marks the first cut from the forthcoming long player. The song is an earworm about the unbearable dilemma of being alive in this time in history. A time of great potential, beauty and horror "We just like buying, we just like time on the phone, we just like feeling".

undergroundLOVERS will also preview their new 'Unbearable' video clip, directed by Vincent Giarrusso and shot by Sean T Barnes, at their Melbourne Christmas show.
