UNDER THE WIRE - INTERNAL PROJECTIONS, EXTERNAL PROJECTIONS + SOUNDS

What lights glow in hidden spaces, what sounds echo in darkness? Dive beneath the surface of things in a pulsating event of moving images and sounds.

The stairwells and byways of the dynamic MADA MUMA precinct at Monash University's Caulfield Campus are taken over by the moving image, light and sound in this unique project curated by James Hewison, Head of Film Programs at ACMI.

Witness new work by the likes of Australia's most prolific and surprising documentary filmmaker, Amiel Courtin-Wilson; super 8mm chronicler of the margins, Rick Charnoski; and the poet of cinematic decay, Bill Morrison. Add to this sound curation and composition by the Australian Art Orchestra's Peter Knight, and James Savage and a series of live improvisations by students of the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music of Music.

We've teamed up with one of Melbourne's best eateries MJR Tom so you can enjoy delicious food at their Under The Wire pop-up.

The Under The Wire bar will be serving a range of boutique beers, wines and cocktails, and hot drinks will be on offer from specialty roasters DC Coffee.
