Simon Tedeschi is widely acknowledged by critics and musical peers as one of the finest artists of his generation. He has performed for royalty and at major concert venues throughout the US, UK, Europe, Central America and all over Australia. Recipient of countless international prizes and scholarships he was most recently awarded a Centenary of Federation medal by the Prime Minister of Australia.

A versatile performer, Simon has collaborated with acclaimed musicians across many styles and genres including the late renowned US jazz musician Larry Adler. He famously played the hands of David Helfgott in the Oscar-winning movie Shine and was the subject of Cherry Hood’s Archibald Prize-winning portrait “Simon Tedeschi Unplugged” in 2002.

The Sydney Omega Ensemble, directed by clarinettist David Rowden, has been redefining our city’s contemporary classical musical landscape since their inception in 2005. With a large and constantly growing audience of enthusiastic fans, its recitals at venues from the City Recital Hall to the Sydney Opera House have drawn popular and critical praise.

The concert will also feature a Remembrance Day tribute from dynamic and award-winning cantor Zvi Teichtahl, accompanied by John Martin, pianist, educator and composer. Zvi is an acclaimed lyric tenor and John’s credits include musical direction for hit shows such as Dickens’ Women with Miriam Margolyes, for The Australian Tenors and for Australia’s Got Talent winner Mark Vincent.
