Tincture | Tryst (feat. Hazel Brown) [Nakagin Remix]

BY Higher Plains | 26-Nov-2013
Tincture premiered his new track 'Tryst' on Pigeons and Planes earlier this month followed by a bootleg video feature on Prefix Magazine on Nov 11. Tincture continues to keep the momentum moving forward with the release of a 'Tryst' remix by acclaimed Sydney producer Nakagin (Hugh Luscombe). Hugh has applied his own style of symmetrical bliss to the track, which is now available to share.

Tryst' is the first single from Tincture's debut EP, due out via Silo Arts & Records late January 2014.

Tincture is the moniker of 23 year-old Brisbane musician and producer Luke Dalton. Despite having trained as a classical pianist for most of his childhood, Tincture began dabbling with electronic production in early 2012; turning out a series of smooth-garage inflected remixes and bootlegs that quickly garnered positive responses from both local and international critics. Pegged by many as one to keep an eye on, he has since played in support of names like Purity Ring, Daedelus and Space Dimension Controller, while also receiving national radio airplay and featuring in a mix by XXYYXX.

2013 sees Tincture ready his first official release, with the addition of live vocals and wider instrumentation pushing his sound in a refreshing new direction. A sea of noisy synths and skittering percussion complement breathy, reverb laden vocals hooks; a knowing nod in the direction of both nineties era dream- pop and the new wave of genre-blurring bedroom producers emerging from around the globe.
