Hobart's Tiger Choir make eclectic pop music from the cultural periphery, yet they've travelled the world enough to be wide-eyed to its possibilities, and their upcoming album is a record that captures the swagger, fear and confidence of realizing how infinite life’s possibilities are. #tiger.choir @tigerchoir
Tiger Choir
This group of young men display a keen sense of style and direction“ - Faster Louder

“Tiger Choir's Unicycles is another consistently solid step into dreamy, cotton wool pop” - WhoTheHell

First single ‘Shani’ is a great taste of what’s to come with cascading guitars, synths that curl around each other, vocals drenched with regret and lyrics that includes what may be one of the catchiest refrains of the year in “we’re getting so messed up”.

Since coming together in 2009, Tiger Choir have released a self-titled EP and their debut LP, Unicycles. As well as their releases the boys have graced the stages of Falls Festival, Camp a Low Hum and Panama Festival, along with playing with the likes of Deerhunter, The Drums, Holy Fuck! and Regurgitator, gaining stellar reviews for their energetic live shows.

Recorded in a valley above Hobart before heading to Melbourne to enlist the ears of Simon Lam (I'lls, Klo) to mix and Andrei Eremin (Chet Faker, Oscar Key Sung, Hiatus Kaiyote) to master, the upcoming LP is darker than previous material.

‘Shani’ is a perfect introduction, and the band can’t wait to take it on the road.
