A challenging, exiting and moving exhibition by some of South Australia's most innovative and creative artists, gives a history of Minda from an outsider and insiders perspective.
Tutti Visual Arts Studio - Their Shadows In Us Exhibition. Flinders University City Gallery
This highly visual multi-media feast for the senses gives voice to people with intellectual disability who grew up lived and worked at Minda Inc throughout the 20th Century. Initiated by Ms Pat Rix, Founder/Artistic Director of Tutti, this exhibition has been more than three years in the planning and came about after Tutti artists expressed interest in finding out more about older residents at Minda’s Brighton site. Tutti’s disabled artists have teamed up with some of South Australia’s leading artists to create an exhibition which uses visual, audio and tactile mediums to prove no history is mute. Their Shadows in Us runs at the Flinders City Gallery State Library North Terrace Adelaide until mid-February 2014.
