Juanella has been a practicing artist since childhood and by 18 already had two pieces of her work acquired by the National Museum of Australia. She had been selling her art on Facebook and at the local markets when she came across the TAFE NSW Aboriginal Pathways program and immediately signed up. "I've studied a Certificate III in Business, a Certificate III in Business Administration and a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management at TAFE NSW which have given me a better understanding of how a business works and helped me gain further skills to start my own business." said Juanella.

With this knowledge under her belt, in January 2019, Juanella registered her business, Woven Dreaming Collective and in March was acquired into the National Museum of Scotland for a Bark Painting which she gifted to the Scottish people.

The Woven Dreaming Collective's first exhibition, Desert & The Sea, will give an in-depth understanding of one families continuation of culture, passing on knowledge to the younger generation through The Dreaming Stories and Cultural Practices of their ancient homelands. Displaying art created by herself, her husband, Southern Gumbaynggirr Man Michael Donovan, their three daughters Ngarlaa, Ngayan and Ngintaka Donovan, and Elder Regina McKenzie, the multimedia show will include woven emu feathers, traditional seashell jewellery, carved wood, ochre and fat paintings.
