A weekend full of workshops, rehearsals, performances, learning and friendship. This starts with a screening of Beyond Hard Knocks, which follows on from the original 'Choir of Hard Knocks' documentary. 8pm next Friday 3rd June at The Edge, State Library of Queensland. Fabulous performances and opportunities across the weekend...... STREET REQUIEM in memory of those who have died on the streets. Saturday 4th June. NO EXCUSES! Singing out against domestic violence and PUTTIN' ON THE RITZ with Kirby Shaw Sunday 5th June. Come and be part of it!!! An unforgettable experience, not just a festival. Street Requiem: In memory of those who have died on the street

Street Requiem is a new choral work that aims to bring a sense of peace, remembrance and hope to many communities, struggling to come to terms with street violence and a loss of safety on our streets.

NO EXCUSES! is a project of the School of Hard Knocks which focuses on family violence and domestic abuse, with real stories of struggle alongside those of inspirational resilience as shared by women from Melbourne's western suburbs.
