Inspired by the beauty of sunny Australia and the beautiful scenery of rare flowers, Shen expresses nature with brilliant and vibrant colours. Alice Shen (b.1985, from Zhejiang province, China), received her bachelor degree from the Fine Arts College of the Shanghai Normal University, China and completed her Master of Fine Art at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University in Australia. Chinese master artist in oil painting, Chen Danqing once commented about Alice Shen, "she is as naïve as Vincent van Gogh. She completely immerses into her own world when she paints. She uses colours to interpret the pureness and authenticity that captured in her eyes. " She claimed that it is a mere happiness had one could give full play to his or her own interest.

Immersed in nature, the artist has transformed her fascination with flowers into brilliant and vibrant colours, which become a means of self-expression - her joy and happiness.The series of vivid scenes of trees with purple blossoms scattered on the ground create a fairytale "“like landscape while at the same time evocative of the tree Jacarandas.
