Staying Power, curated by Penelope Davis and MARS Director, Andy Dinan, is an exhibition showcasing selected works from established women artists.

These artists have consistently made exceptional work over a long period of time, their practice has continually developed conceptually, materially, and aesthetically but may or may not have achieved the recognition afforded their male peers. Regardless, these artists have carved out sustained independent careers for themselves, consistently forging their own path.

Staying Power recognises the grit, determination, persistence and endless juggling that women artists undertake over many decades, often without due recognition.
