Coming to you Live, ‘Squatch Watch’ is the most acclaimed and highest rated cryptozoology podcast in Australia. Join Luke Standish (Shopfront Arts Co-op's Stripped), Frank Dwyer (SAC’s, Where Shall We Meet?), Sophie Florence Ward (SAC’s In The Event of Moon Disaster), and Nick Vagne (KXT Broadway’s WALLY), as their decade of recording and research culminates in one of the most exciting live shows you will ever see.
Merrigong Theatre Company’s Artistic Development Manager, Leland Kean, said “Since The X-Files hit our screens back in late 90's, conspiracy theories have had their own unique place in each generation’s development, but post Covid, the birth of fake news and the rapid increase in podcast culture have added a new dimension. I'm super excited to see this next generation of Illawarra artists tackle this space with our own home-grown conspiracy that roams the escarpment.”
Vaguely Adjacent’s Nick Vagne added “As a collective we’ve always had a drive towards the niche and the weird. So really, it’s no surprise we ended up with project that pushed us to deep dive into the conspiracy fringes of our society for the last 3 years. It has meant everything to us to have had the chance to build and showcase this work here in MERRIGONGX.”
Whether it’s your first expedition into the unknown or you’re a seasoned Sasquatch veteran, don’t miss this jaw-dropping new work by Wollongong’s own genre-bending performance collective.
