THECHO!R, conducted by Dr Jonathon Welch AM, are thrilled to announce the launch of Sharing The Joy, recorded live at THECHO!R's tenth anniversary concert at Collingwood Town Hall, December 2019. Sharing The Joy is a sparkling retrospective of THECHO!R's work crafted by Jonathon, their founding artistic director. It celebrates a decade of extraordinary music making, friendship, community and joy. Jonathon comments There are so many fabulous moments and memories brought to life on this recording. It's an eclectic, exciting mix of pop, rock, gospel, folk and classical pieces."
"It has many of our favourites from Dancing Queen to Livin' On A Prayer and to Why We Sing, one of the first anthems we ever learnt!

The album also has a number of songs that have become 'choir favourites', including The Man from Rhos-On-Sea (A Bendith Cymraeg) by our marvellous accompanist Dave Newington; Wominjeka Birraunga by Deborah Cheetham and the world premiere of a newly commissioned work The Call, by Daniel Brinsmead, which was written especially for THECHO!R.

THECHO!R is well known having performed extensively in many memorable concerts at festivals, fundraisers, flash mobs and everything in between. It has raised thousands of dollars in much needed funds for community based organisations and collaborated widely. Several of our long term collaborators and friends feature as special guest artists including the sensational Claire Patti and Daniel Brinsmead.

Jonathon exclaims "I am so very proud of this recording and of THECHO!R! It is a celebration of eleven years of wonderful music making and the best community spirit.

I love my work and we love nothing more than sharing our joy of singing and making beautiful music together!

Sharing The Joy is available on iTunes and Spotify.
