ROLES WORK FROM HOME, WITH A LIVE STREAM SINGLE RELEASE AND VIDEO LAUNCH

Published by: Louise Love | 21-Mar-2020
Post-punk duo Roles are set to release their debut album 'There's A Space' in mid 2020 and the album's second single (and video) premiered online today. 'Try Being Human' plays with spacious melody, haunting vocals and subtle groove. The minimalist video is innovative, evocative and hypnotic; another DIY offering from the pair. In the wake of the wave of COVID-19 gig cancellations, Roles have decided to bring this release forward and hop on the livestream bandwagon with a Live Facebook stream performance this Friday night.
Roles are an independent duo based in Melbourne Australia. Their sound is built around synth bass, drum machine sounds, 3-stringed guitar and lyrics of found ideas and stories. The duo consists of songwriter and producer Louise Love, and her collaborator Luis Gutiérrez. Their debut album There's A Space' draws from stories shared by Ram Dass in talks he gave in the 1980s.

The live stream event be held this Friday at 8.30pm AEDT, via the Roles Facebook page.

'Try Being Human' is available on bandcamp and all popular streaming services.
