Revelation Perth International Film Festival

This year's Revelation Perth International Film Festival, includes 181 screenings of local, national and international films presented at cinemas, galleries, cafes and bars across Perth. The festival attracts 12,000 patrons and numerous international guests over the 13 days.
Revelation maintains its focus on signature driven works and embraces audiences of all ages, tastes and backgrounds. There are free programs aimed at kids and families, industry discussion sessions, masterclasses, visual art exhibitions and other hybrid activities generated by the event or independent curators. Revelation also includes a unique Academic component - two days of intense discussion and debate on all things cinema

This year Revelation announced the inaugural Revelation Music Days program, taking place over 6-nights of the festival. The Revelation Music Days is designed as a showcase for local and national musicians of all forms who are busting out and going places.

Some must see events at Revelation 2018:
  • Alexander Hacke & Danielle de Picciotto- presenting two very special performances and an artists' talk;
  • A special retrospective celebrating Director/Producer Hal Ashby with a feature documentary about his career plus special screenings of classics Shampoo, The Last Detail and Being There;
  • Animated short films at Mini Rev with free children's screenings at the State Library of WA;
  • Daily free screenings of Studio Ghibli titles for anime enthusiasts;
  • Semiconductor - a moving image exhibition exploring both art and science;
  • Screenwest's annual showcase of emerging WA filmmaking talent in Get Your Shorts On!
