PITCH-O-RAMA

Pitch-o-rama is the Screen Makers Conference's live pitch competition in search of the next big web series idea, offering $10,000 in development funding.

Screen makers from across Australia can apply to pitch a short scripted or factual concept directly to ABC executives. Shortlisted entrants will have three minutes to sell their idea in front of a live audience on Friday 26 July, at the Screen Makers Conference.

The winning pitch will receive $10,000 from the Media Resource Centre and ABC iview to put towards development. You can submit your Pitch-o-rama application from Monday 3 June. Find out more about Pitch-o-rama here: https://www.screenmakersconference.com.au/pitch-o-rama/

PITCHING MARKETPLACE

Screen Makers Conference offers a national pitching market for writers, producers and directors to pitch a concept or early stage project to producers and production companies. It will also allow producers and teams with market-ready projects to pitch to a broadcaster, streamer or distributor to attract market interest. You'll be able to apply to pitch from Monday 10 June. This represents a fantastic opportunity to pitch ideas to some of the top representatives in the industry. Having all of these companies in the one place is a rare opportunity for creators, at any career stage.

You can read more about the pitching marketplace at https://www.screenmakersconference.com.au/pitching/

Please note that you must be registered for the full Screen Makers program to apply for Pitch-o-rama; the two-day conference-only pass is not eligible for any pitching opportunities.

The 2019 Screen Makers Conference will also feature speaker and panel sessions, industry roundtables, and formal networking opportunities.

Last year's Screen Makers Conference sold out, so we recommend you register early. Registration discounts are available for students, and members of the Australian Directors' Guild, Australian Writers' Guild, and Screen Producers Australia. Register now at https://www.screenmakersconference.com.au/registrations/, and follow @screenmakersaus on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates.
