"IT'S BEEN 10 YEARS!" Exhibition
About Studio 20/17 Project SpaceLocated in North Sydney, Studio 20/17 Project Space has evolved as an extension of the original passions of the co-founder of Studio 20/17, Bridget Kennedy. The combined gallery/workshop reflects a continuing commitment to community activation with an ongoing exhibition program, representation of a broad range of jewellery artists, community workshops and personal mentoring. The space also contains a workshop where Bridget makes bespoke jewellery, and commissions including wedding and engagement rings.
“It’s important to me to highlight that wearing contemporary handmade jewellery allows a connection to individuals and the handmade in a local community. I understand the connection and meaning that a handcrafted and unique piece of jewellery can embody and enjoy sharing the process of making unique commissioned work. ” – Bridget.
The gallery is composed of a retail area showcasing contemporary jewellery by many wonderful Australian contemporary designer jewellery artists. The jewellery on display expresses the artist’s inspiration and their individual creative journey. Changing exhibitions showcase both contemporary jewellery and objects by local artists. The working studio is where you can see the work in progress. Visit our news page for a behind the scenes peek of what’s happening in the jewellery workshop.
