Actor, writer, opera director Jonathan Biggins at the most recent Arts and Public Life Breakfast
Currency House warmly invites you to attend our breakfast with Artistic Director David Sefton, a forthright Liverpudlian brought up on the sounds of today’s music. This is the man who showed us he knew his business in early March, when bookings for his first Adelaide Festival surged past their box office target. But he had already broken other records: in 1993 he founded the annual Meltdown Festival at London’s Royal Festival Hall, now credited with re-writing the rules by putting musicians in charge of programming. The last decade he spent heading the nine-month long arts festival, UCLA Live, in Los Angeles. Come along to hear Sefton take a practical view of Australia’s arts culture.
