Set in 1927, during Prohibition, this crazy, Tony Award winning comedy features a charming, wealthy but clueless playboy, Jimmy Winter, and a feisty female bootlegger, Billie Bendix, who steals his heart on the weekend of his wedding.
Billie and her bootlegger friends, Cookie and Duke, hide 400 cases of illegal gin in Jimmy's cellar but when Jimmy and his family, including Prohibitionist, Estonia Dulworth (the President of the Society of Dry Women - "That's rather an unfortunate name, isn't it!"), unexpectedly arrive at the mansion, all hell breaks loose as the bootleggers try to protect their gin from the clueless family.
Hijinks galore will make you laugh out loud while enjoying Gershwin's most loved tunes: Let's Call the Whole thing Off, Someone to Watch Over Me, 'S Wonderful and Fascinating Rhythm. Led by the production team that brought you our recent hit, "How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying", this show will be 'A Great Night at the Theatre' for the whole family.
