Donna, born in Port Moresby, is of Spanish, Portugese, Philipino, South Sea Islander and Australian Indigenous decent. Holding qualifications in Design, Indigenous Culture and Visual Art, she has exhibited in Cairns and on the Gold Coast. She uses a variety of mediums including acrylic, ink and textiles in various styles including abstract and printing, she even has her own clothing line, using prints from her artworks. Being passionate about important topics in nature and society, she aims to express global concerns about homelessness, mental health, drugs and food wastage through her work, while promoting community, charity, bush foods and a love of nature.
Donna says 'I feel most people would like to live a simple life and connect with nature and acknowledge the amazing abundance of food from the land.'
