Following SOLD OUT shows at Perth’s Fringe World, international mystery performer Pierre Ulric returns to the Melbourne Magic Festival this July with a new and exciting production. #PierreUlricMysteries
Running for FIVE SHOWS ONLY from the 11th to the 15th of July, 'White Lies' delves into the mysterious aspects of the world; investigating the nature of humans and our perceptions of time. Audiences will experience psychological illusions, mind control, and visual hallucinations in this dynamic hour long performance.

“I studied environmental biology at university and have been working as an environmental consultant in the resource sector for about 15 years. I decided to go full time with the magic last year even though I’ve been working and doing professional gigs since I was 14 years old. It was really only a matter of time before this transition.”, explains Ulric.

“Theatrical surrealism is a term that I coined to better define what I do. Magic is a type of theatre and the magician is essentially an actor playing the part of a magician. 'White Lies' is a unique magic show in that it doesn’t follow a standard time sequence. The script is designed to create a feeling of unpredictability in the spectators perception of time.”

Set against a background of music, multimedia visuals and deadpan humour, Melbourne magic lovers will have their minds read, lose their senses and encounter visual hallucinations where objects melt, bend and levitate before their very eyes. 'White Lies' is entertaining and thought provoking theatrical surrealism at its best.

A Perth-based Magician, Pierre Ulric migrated to Australia from his native Canadian province of Québec nineteen years ago. He has been involved in the craft for over 25 years and is recognised as an accomplished performer on the scene, having received several peer awards and nominations.

He works from an understanding that magic is a powerful communication and expression medium and his love for mystery performance work has been embraced by delighted, unsuspecting audiences all around the world.
