Penultimate theatrical degustation! Sex, crime and rainbows....

BY Geoff Sirmai | 22-Feb-2013
An escaped convict, rain and rainbows, a burning bride, pregnancy tests, modern marriage, bugs in a jar & a futuristic epidemic… Short+Sweet week 7 has it all...

And next week's final serving tasty 10-minute theatre bites is just as bizarre and entertaining!

An abducted child, an artist and his courtesan model, a magical journey, a dark tale of repressed Victorian desire, two sisters with a bottle of pills and a corpse plus and a guy in a porn-packed, regret-filled coma. The final heat - week 8 - of Short+Sweet (27 Feb to 4 March at King Street Theatre, Newtown) goes just about anywhere you could imagine!

As always, Short+Sweet has something for every taste… and in tasty 10-minute bites!

Short and Sweet's Top 80 program offers 10 x 10 min plays per night Wed-Sat 8pm and Sundays at 5.15pm with a new program each week. And the Wildcard series (Sat 3pm, Sun 1pm and Mon at 8pm) feature another program of plays per week too!

Full releases for Weeks 7 and 8 are attached... each includes some small preview versions of the many great images available. A few from Weeks 7 and 8 are attached here in low resolution for reference.

Full one page briefs for each featured play are also available on request... along with press quality images, interview contacts and more!

AND REMEMBER, each week's winning plays make their way to the Gala Finals 22 and 23 March at the Seymour Centre... or via the audience votes to the People's Choice week at Sidetrack Theatre 6-10 March... or the Wildcards Finals 9 and 10 March matinees at Sidetrack.
