From Place To Place, an exhibition of paintings by Pauline Bailey, explores the journey from town to suburb to inner city, highlighting the contrasts between city life in Melbourne and country life in Gippsland.

Although her home is in rural Gippsland, Pauline still has a passion for the urban environment and frequently travels between Gippsland and Melbourne where she finds inspiration not only in the city, but also closer to home which is evident in some of the local subjects in this exhibition. Using acrylic, charcoal, collage and oil to build up interesting layers, colours and textures in her works, she uncovers the character, detail and hidden beauty in abandoned buildings, music venues and other structures which often have a story to tell.

From Place To Place illustrates the many definitions of place to which we can all relate.
