In 2012, three artists who had never met volunteered to work on concept development for an Arts Trail and Open Studio event in the Samford Valley. Over the time they worked on this project, they became firm friends. This is their first exhibition together. Pathways makes reference to the roads we take in life, often unconsciously, that enable chance encounters and experiences that can be life-changing. It may be through travel that we are exposed to new ideas, people and ways of seeing things, or it may simply be that making a decision to join a community group exposes us to new challenges that lead us somewhere we never imagined we might go. New possibilities open for us as a result. There are many pathways travelled in a lifetime by each and every one of us.
