Nestled in the spectacular honey ant hills of Central Australia lies the small desert community of Papunya, the home of Papunya Tjupi Arts. Papunya is the famous birthplace of Western Desert dot-painting, which began in the early 1970s.

Papunya Tjupi Arts was formed in 2007 to represent artists from the Papunya region, many of whom are descendents of the original Papunya artists.

Some of the most exciting Central Australian art is coming from Papunya Tjupi Arts. The current generation of artists represent their cultural stories in their own style; presenting their land in their own unique and fresh way. They are constantly evolving their techniques, so that no two works are ever the same.

Papunya Tjupi Arts 2018 follows sell out shows in 2016 and 2017. Honey Ant Gallery is proud to present their latest masterpieces, showcasing sought after senior artists, whilst introducing exciting new talent.

Honey Ant Gallery delivers this significant exhibition of works in partnership with Papunya Tjupi Arts.

Papunya Tjupi Arts is a 100% Aboriginal owned and directed community. The art centre is located in Papunya, approximately 250kms North West of Alice Springs (N.T.).
