Get ready for a Moustache Riot

Brisbane's best comedic acts hit the stage for charity.

Brisbane Comedian, Andrew Crane has been dedicated to growing a moustache and fundraising for Movember every year for the last 15 years. This year he has started a riot, taking his fundraising efforts for men's health to a new level with a brand new Comedy Show, Moustache Riot.

With 2020 proving to be one hell of a challenging year for many, now has never been a better time to embrace those patchy, lopsided, itchy and epic moustaches, and the important message that sits behind them - and what better way to do it, than with a laugh.

Partnering up with The Tivoli and Brisbane's best comedians, Moustache Riot is a two-hour charity show built to deliver Brisbanites a much-needed dose of laughter. Hosted by the fantastic MC, Jaques Barrett and featuring performances from Nick Carr, Chris Martin, Aaron Pratt, Rhi Down, Jo Gowda, Fiona Mcgary, Tiny Lim along with up and coming Brisbane comedians Andrew Crane and Cody Grimsey, the show debuts on Wednesday 18th November at What's Golden.

100% of ticket sales will go to the Movember Foundation, helping to fund groundbreaking health projects across mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Event producer and comedian Andrew Crane said Performing stand up for the past 2 years has allowed me to confront my own mental health issues and share them with strangers in a twisted form of therapy that we call comedy. It has opened my eyes to an industry with many performers who struggle day-to-day and often disguising themselves with a joke to make others laugh. And at the end of the day, many who are not comedians, do this everyday in life. I wanted to do something about it, so I created Moustache Riot to ultimately help generate awareness around men's health, fundraise for this important cause and in the process, give the people of Brisbane one big night of laughter.

The show has already had a huge impact and they're hell-bent on making it bigger and that's where you come in. We're inviting all Brisbaners to get behind this incredible cause and raise some money for charity, all whilst having a laugh. Tickets are limited so get in quick.

Moustache riot is generously supported by The Tivoli Brisbane who have provided the venue in kind. Delicious food will be available on the night courtesy of Chef Travis Crane from City Winery. All funds raised from ticket sales will be going to the Movember Charities via Andrew Crane's Mo-Space page.
