Mount Hawthorn's streets and lanes will be transformed into a vibrant festival zone on Sunday 6 May for this year's Mount Hawthorn Streets and Lanes Festival presented by Kleenheat.

Over 70,000 people attended last year's Festival, and similar numbers are expected to again enjoy a great series of attractions for all ages and tastes.

Highlights of the Mount Hawthorn Streets and Lanes Festival presented by Kleenheat include:
  • live music ranging from jazz to indi rock to acoustic, with entertainment stages featuring bands, DJs, big bands, soloists and local performers;
  • food galore with alfresco offerings from local restaurants and cafes;
  • pop-up street bars;
  • an aboriginal art exhibition;
  • family fun including petting zoos, a special kids zone of free activities, a sideshow alley and face painting;
  • weird and wonderful art activations throughout the precinct;
  • plenty of retail therapy with local retailer specials and market stalls;
  • a choreographed umbrella performance by local school students;
  • roving entertainers that will perform around the festival all day;
  • the return of the much lauded John Carey Dog Show.

The event also falls just one week before Mothers' Day and The Ladybird Market will take over Fairfield Street once again, with their amazing line up of Perth Creatives, offering quality locally handmade and designed products, artworks, accessories, décor and more which will make perfect gifts.
