Momentum Dance Studios Youth Dancers Perform!
On Saturday 15th December the dancers from Momentum Dance Studios in Western Sydney will step onto the stage at the Riverside Theatre in Parramatta. While this is far from an unusual event as a stream of dance school will hit this very stage towards the end of this year, Momentum is a unique gem in amongst them.

Momentum Dance Studios since its inception has worked hard to distinguish itself from many other suburban dance schools that operate in a self-regulated dance industry. From its foundation at the University of NSW in 2004 it has held a strong philosophy in Youth Dance Education that speaks volumes particularly after the Royal Commission findings from the dance community.
This dance school put a stop to the age old tradition of compulsory use of make-up on children for performance. It also made a commitment to ensuring costuming, music selection and choreography was age appropriate. Momentum developed and openly published a Child Safety Policy to demonstrate a genuine commitment to putting the rights of children and their safety at the forefront of their practice.
The up and coming performance at the Riverside Theatre in Parramatta will showcase skills learned and confidence gained from a year of dance training in the school by students age 3 to 19 years. The concert is a testament to being able to produce a high level of technical dance skills and artistry while ensuring that children are treated safely and with respect.
