Merpire announces autumn and winter support and festival slots for new single 'Lately'

Published by: This Much Talent | 10-Apr-2019
Reeling off a run of summer festival slots, dreamy indie-pop musician Merpire is thrilled to announce more upcoming shows in support of her first release for 2019 'Lately. The transfixing nom de guerre kicked off the year alongside local and international acts at festivals across the country including A Festival Called Panama, Brunswick Music Festival, and most recently By The Meadow.
Coming up, Merpire will be joining Last Dinosaurs at Howler Saturday 6 April, before she heads up the Hume Highway to Euroa to woo the regional audiences at The Northern Republic on May 4. Winter sees Merpire feature at Noisy Ritual's 'School Night' on Thursday 13 June, ahead of escaping the cold in Melbourne in July for her second appearance at Bello Winter Music Festival.

New single 'Lately' was accompanied by a music video directed by go-to videographer and photographer Nick Mckk. This year is already stacking up to be a monumental year for Merpire, with 'Lately' added rotation on Double J, triple j unearthed, Syn's Sweet 16 and Spotify playlists Chords & Cardigans and Broad Chords, plus an inclusion in Apple Music's 'Best of the Week'.

It's the year of the Merp!

2018 was an undeniably huge year for Merpire with the release of her debut EP, Endless Chatter and a slew of noteworthy live shows. Including a sold-out EP launch at The Gasometer Hotel, supporting the likes of Angie McMahon, Olympia, Phantastic Furniture, Oh Pep!, Didirri on his national 'Measurements' Tour and stand out sets at Brisbane's BIGSOUND.
