Stargazing electro-pop producer Joshua Teicher has a nack for adopting quirky characters and embodying their alternate traits. Catalysed from the art of the enigmatic alter egos of Bowie, Josh The Cat propels 90s pop, naughties production and futuristic ideals through a funky dance portal to the here and now.
Since returning to Melbourne in 2017 after a five-year stint living and producing in Berlin, Josh released his debut EP Happiness to solid reviews at home and abroad. Now the fully fledged feline moniker is excited to reveal the first taste of his next instalment, with new single I'll Remember You' as well as announce a pair of cosy single launch shows in Sydney and Melbourne over the coming months.

Josh The Cat's self-produced new single brings together his gentle personality with his bold and refined production and songwriting skills, creating an addictive, bittersweet earworm of shimmering nostalgic pop, as though Beck were fronting a Pharrell jam. From dreamy and sparse beginnings centred by Josh the Cat's crisp voice and underpinned by super-funky bass guitar, I'll Remember You' blooms and blooms again with each chorus into a kaleidoscopic vision of warm strings and sparkly synths and glock, propelled by irresistibly punchy drums leading to a cascading sax solo.

Mixed by Justin Tresidder (Macy Gray, Wolfmother, Daniel Merriweather, Delta Goodrem, Operator Please, Holly Valance), mastered by Lachlan Carrick at Moose Mastering (Ainslie Wills, Gotye, Saatsuma, Miami Horror, Nai Palm) and recorded across Berlin, Melbourne and Alice Springs, I'll Remember You' is out now with with a bunch of celebrations at The Gaso Upstairs in Melbourne, and to Sydney's live music night Folkswagon at Café Lounge.
