Marcel Lucont's Whine List - An Intimate Evening with France's Premiere Misanthrope & Lover

Published by: Encore PR | 26-Mar-2018
Flâneur, raconteur, bon-viveur, and easily the greatest French comedian at the Festival, Marcel Lucont (as seen on ABC1's Set List and Comedy Central at The Comedy Store) returns to the Melbourne Comedy Festival for a limited run with his acclaimed improvised show Whine List. Deigning to entertain the delusional with disdainful observations about the hopelessness of their own lives, Marcel creates a unique Whine List every night for the baying masses.

Marcel Lucont's Whine List is a kind of group therapy session, but one where everybody will probably leave more depressed. Eager to cash in on humanity's obsessions with narcissistic self-help, Marcel offers his audiences the opportunity to air their gripes, moan and whine in front of a man who has plenty of his own.

After a successful 30-date tour of the "United" Kingdom in 2017, at an interesting time for both French and British politics, the deadpan Frenchman also has some tales of his own to tell. Expect louche musings, dry wit and Gallic superiority.

Marcel Lucont's appearances on television and radio include The John Bishop Show (BBC1) & John Bishop's Christmas Show (BBC1), Comedy Central At The Comedy Store (Comedy Central), Russell Howard's Good News (BBC3), Live At The Electric (BBC3), Derek (C4), Set List (Sky Atlantic), Radio 4 Extra Stands Up (BBC Radio 4) and Laughter Lounge (BBC Radio 1).

"Fresh, accessible and hilarious" - The Guardian, UK

"Hilarious ... comedy doesn't get much better than this" The Advertiser

"The shameless foie gras of the Fringe"¦ an absolute must-see" - The West Australian

"Who can resist Marcel Lucont?"¦ Pulling clever punchlines out of every interaction with his audience"¦

Sometimes arrogance is bliss" The Scotsman
