Canadian born Kerwayne Berry, who immigrated to Australia in 1981, has become recognised for her subtle responses to the Australian landscape in mixed media works utilising a variety of mediums and techniques.

Kerwayne revels in exploring and capturing her experience of the texture and light of the watery edges of the unique rock, and land-locked, pools of Australia and the waterless landlocked interiors.

Through the use of colour, exciting textures and the expressive energy in her work she opens herself to the viewer to share in the emotions of the moment encouraging us to reconnect with nature and the elements.

"I am surprised to realise what a disPlaced person I have become as a result of the purposeful choices I have made in my life. However, in that displacement there is fuel to feed my growth as an artist. I find, in my search for "place", my attachment to nature has become crucial to my wellbeing and provides me with continual inspiration for exploration."

Preview and purchase from 11am on Saturday, 28th October. Exhibition continues until 19th November.
