Selby & Friends' second concert program of its 10th anniversary year embodies the fascination with the piano trio genre. Built around the play on the letter 'C', the program opens with Copland's Jewish-inspired folk music followed by trios by Brahms, Shostakovich and the ever popular Mendelssohn Piano Trio No. 2 - all composed in the key of C major or C minor!
Kathryn Selby has engaged her old friends violinist Susie Park and cellist Clancy Newman, both of whom have remarkable international careers, to perform with her in this all-trio performance:

Johannes Brahms - Piano Trio No. 2 in C major, Op. 87
Dmitri Shostakovich - Piano Trio No. 1 in C minor Op. 8
