Art and artistic works have existed for almost as long as humankind: from early pre-historic art to contemporary. Art plays an important role in the development of any nation and represents a set of shared attitudes, values, goals and practices. Over a period of time, the Indian art scene has been dominated by few artists, who are aggressively promoted across India and abroad. There is a plethora of talent in India, unfortunately, many artists are not able reach out and the art world remains monopolized by a few, making it highly expensive and unaffordable. has been set as a platform to showcase India's young budding talent by Ms. Anita Wadhwani. The portal currently features 350 artists with 3500 paintings and plans are to increase this to 600 artists and 10,000 paintings by July, 2016.

Ms Anita Wadhwani, Founder, states, " Today, Indian art has become very unaffordable. The portal attempts to bring art within the reach of everyone with prices commencing from Rs.1000. Each painting is an original work of art and comes with a Certificate of Authenticty."

Adds Anita, "The portal's endeavor is to bring forth new talent, especially from smaller cities, economically weaker sections and specially abled artists."

The portal features artists from across India including from Tier II and Tier III cities such as Katni (Madhya Pradesh), Ludhiana (Punjab),Guwahati (Assam), Beed (Maharashtra) and Nashik(Maharashtra) to name a few.

The portal promotes and encourages artists who are differently abled such as Anand S. from Chennai, who despite his congenital disability originating from a spinal malformation follows his passion for art.

The portal features different genre of art and includes abstract, calligraphy, madhubani, murals, nature, portraits, figurative, religious, landscape, charcoal drawings, contemporary, children as well as sculptures and photographs. also promotes traditional folk art such as Patashilpa from West Bengal, Madhubani from Bihar, Warli from Maharashtra, Mural Painting from Kerala and Thanjavur paintings from Tamil Nadu to name a few.
