HOME aims to nurture the talents of artists and provide them with professional development opportunities in the creative sector. Shortlisted artists will have their work presented at the exhibition, held at Walker Street Gallery & Arts Centre from October until November 2018, with awards announced at the launch on Thursday 18 October.

This year IKEA Springvale is supporting five artists with awards of $1000 to support the development of new work. The successful artists will be selected by a panel of specialists from within the Creative industries.

HOME is a celebration of the City of Greater Dandenong's cultural diversity, with the city now designated as the most culturally diverse community in Australia.

Artists are invited to submit a brief for their artwork, based on their personal practice and stories. Artworks may be produced in any medium including, but not limited to, painting, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, video, photography and drawing.

The exhibiting artists are connected to mentors to increase experience across the creative sector. Artists may be offered further opportunity to participate in the City of Greater Dandenong's Artist in Residence program.

Artists can submit their entry online here by Sunday 29 July:
