Latrobe Valley Community Choir, together with Play It Forward, invite you to help us celebrate & commemorate the courage, bravery and resilience of those who experienced the Delburn and Black Saturday bushfires in the Latrobe Valley in 2009. Ten years later we are stronger than ever as we stand HAND IN HAND! Latrobe Valley Community Choir aims to continue to engage residents within the Latrobe City to sing together to build better connections, and to enjoy social interaction through a structured choral program. We are so proud to present this concert and would love to see you on Saturday 30th March, 3pm at Moe Town Hall. Featuring Dr Jonathon Welch AM, Danielle Matthews, Latrobe Valley Community Choir, MEN ALOUD!, Only Women Aloud and our massed choir, primarily drawn from our local community. @lvcchoir @playitforwardoz
Latrobe Valley Community Choir (LVCC) are a dedicated, fun loving ensemble of singers based in the Latrobe Valley that love to sing! LVCC encourages membership from all community members, no audition required.

Formed in 2013 in response to Opera Australia's Community Partnerships Program in Conjunction with Dr Jonathon Welch AM and the School of Hard Knocks. This was an arts/community engagement project supported and funded by Latrobe City Council which culminated in a massed choir performance at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl with Australian Opera singers and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra on 23 November 2013.

The project was so successful that participants decided to continue as an independent, primarily self-funded group of passionate singers.

Latrobe Valley Community Choir has grown to a base subscription of over 40 members. LVCC is a "project based" choir, closely linked to Play It Forward which provides opportunities for LVCC members to participate in metropolitan performances, along with providing local performances in the Latrobe Valley.

Play It Forward, launched in 2018 by Dr Welch, provides a unique range of tailored inclusive arts programs, events and projects for all Australians.

Tickets for HAND IN HAND are $10.00 for adults, Students & Children U18 are Free Entry, but please note that tickets are required. Book at Latrobe Performing Arts Centre on 03 5176 3333 or www.latrobe.vic.gov.au or purchase at door.
