GJ Productions presents The Last Five Years, written and composed by Jason Robert Brown. Performing at The Mechanics Institute, Brunswick, this two-hander musical cult-classic will feature emerging actor, Callum Harrington, and Grace Maddern, co-founder of the new Melbourne-based production company GJ Productions. The Last Five Years features unforgettable songs of discovery, joy, heartbreak and hurt to create an intimate portrait of two lovers on different paths.

Written and composed by Tony-award winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, The Bridges of Madison County) will star Callum Harrington as Jamie Wellerstein, a promising new novelist, and Grace Maddern as Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress. This contemporary song-cycle musical chronicles the five-year life of their love, from first date to break up... or from break up to first date, depending on whose side you take "“ there are always two sides to a story after all.
