Published by: Gallery Elysium | 9-Nov-2020
Gallery Elysium is re-openimg after the longest lockdown in Australian history with a brand new Group Exhibition featuring the works of Melbourne Artists. Phillip Doggett-Williams, Bart sanciolo and Sonny Dalimore.
Finally, Galleries around Melbourne are beginning to re-open bringing life and culture back into a city which has spent much of the year hybernating due to the Covid -19 Pandemic.

Gallery Elysium is celebrating its re-opening with a wonderful exhibition which highlights a diversity of works by three well known and long standing Melbourne artists. This diversity of works spans sculpture, painting and printmaking and is a real feast for the eyes.

With more than 120 years of artistic experience between them, artists Sonny Dalimore, Phillip Doggett-Williams and Bart Sanciolo stage their third group exhibition titled 'Triptych III' at Gallery Elysium, Hawthorn. Their friendship dates back to art school days at RMIT circa 1972 to 1976 having studied under the late George Baldessin, Inge King and Andrew Sibley and many other distinguished artists.

Whilst the mediums of drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture remain consistent to their artistic practice and the modernist themes of the human form and landscape predominate their subject matter, stylistic differences emphasize their independent visions, perceptions and sensibilities. Most importantly, what the artists share in common is a commitment to the power of art to communicate authentic experience and its potential to enrich life.

TRIPTYCH III is currently showing at Gallery Elysium between Nov 1 and Dec 15, 2020...So if you are looking for a unique gift for your home or the festive season or just want to take in some wonderful art, find your way to Gallery Elysium in Hawthorn Victoria and enjoy a glass a wine while you take in some art.
