The ArtSHINE Gallery exhibition opened with a crowd gathering in to see the new works created by John Klein. The gallery is one of a kind, 3 stories high with one side being open to enjoy the weather and enhance the ambiance of the space. The owners of the gallery Vinh Van Lam and Stuart Horrex welcome each guest with a warm greeting. The crowd was a mix of artists, art writers and collectors all under one roof enjoying this exquisite solo exhibition of nature. The space opens with the piece entitled "Mooney". A wonderful portrait of a cow that brings forth this animals" individual personality. "John Klein"s art works are honest and brings forth a man that is kind and understanding." Visual Arts Writer - Elizabeth Fortescue states as she critiques Klein"s exhibition. The buzz surrounding this opening has been going on for a few months and attendees of high profiles showed up to support and enjoy the exhibition. John Klein"s series harmoniously illustrates the ambiance of the country, using landscapes along-side animals. The 37 paintings all have a distinctive playful style using unusual perspective and colour. This brings the viewer right in, almost wanting to touch the paintings. John Klein captures a variety of horses, birds, dogs, goats and even chickens. You will be amazed in how Klein brings their individual personalities to life. The landscapes allow you explore the beauty of Australia from Binda to Murwillumbah. Klein uses thick layering technique to lift the art works from the canvas and create depth. The use of his highlights complimented with the lighting from the venue and captures a fun colour palate.

John Klein comes from an artistic family and has a background in film and television. He works late into the night in his studio and has at least one solo show a year. Klein announced at the opening that "ArtSHINE Gallery supports their artists with more than a show, they give the artists great exposure with their public relations and guidance. They teach you the business side to art and show they really care".
