A highlight of the Blue Mountains calendar, the Festival promises to be better than ever and will be a great family-friendly weekend out.

Join us to enjoy talks from some of the country's favourite authors and illustrators. Featured speakers will include Australian Children's Laureate Morris Gleitzman, Libby Gleeson, Jacqueline Harvey, Matt Cosgrove, Mardi McConnochie, James Roy, Emily Rodda and many more!

There will be free entertainment and a variety of market stalls. Food will be available and all are welcome to bring along a picnic rug and enjoy the tranquil surrounds of the Gallery.

The 2018 Festival of Children's Literature will also mark the 100th anniversary of The Magic Pudding by Norman Lindsay. Free entry to the Gallery is included with the ticket price and there will be a special display of illustrations from the book as well as a staged reading to delight people of all ages.

With writers and activities spread right across the weekend you can choose to come to a single day or treat yourself and your young people to a weekend pass. You can't book for individual sessions. Please bring your tickets with you to the festival. On arrival you will be issued with your coloured wrist band for your sessions and printed tickets for any other events. Tickets are limited so book early. Tickets bought on the day will cost an additional $5.
