Sunday 5th June 2016, 3pm

No Excuses! is a new song suite, created by composers Christina Green and Kathleen McGuire, focusing upon family violence and domestic abuse, with real stories of struggle and inspirational resilience as shared by women from Melbourne's western suburbs.

Following a weekend of workshops with Internationally renowned composer, arranger and jazz singer Kirby Shaw, our weekend festival will culminate with a stunning performance where Kirby will conduct our Absolutely Everybody Festival Choir using his own arrangements in Puttin' on the Ritz!

Proceeds support the School of Hard Knocks, which was launched in 2012 as an extension of the work created by Dr Jonathon Welch AM with the award winning Choir of Hard Knocks in 2006, to empower marginalised and vulnerable Australians through the arts. The School delivers arts and community music programs in Victoria, Queensland and has recently commenced in regional New South Wales.
