Both playful and challenging, Experimenta Make Sense asks audiences what it means to be human in an era of technological acceleration and disembodied communications. The exhibition features immersive work by leading international and Australian artists who engage directly with this conundrum.

Tues 3 October 10am-4:30pm Drawing on Complexity workshop with Briony Barr: bookings limited. A hands-on workshop with the artist exploring complex systems through collaborative tape drawing.

Wed 4 October - Wed 11 October 11-5 pm Drawing on Complexity drop-in sessions. All welcome - add your mark to a complex network of tape patterns.

Fri 6 October 1-2 pm Join curator Jonathan Parsons and immerse your senses into the "thinking", "feeling" and "doing" of Experimenta Make Sense.

Fri 6 October 2pm-5pm & Sat 7 October 12-3pm The Language of Listening with Gail Priest. Book a one on one conversation with the artist and explore ways of creatively describing what we hear.

Sat 7 October 1-2pm the names of places: In Conversation with Judy Watson. Find out more about research-based mapping of Aboriginal massacre sites across the country. Mon 9 October 10-11 am Seniors Festival Event with Antionette J.Citizen. Morning tea & demonstration of wearable art devices. Sat 14 October 1-2pm Eddies & Swirls: Talking Turbulence - a first-hand demonstration with artists Scale Free Network and Physicist Andrew Melatos.

Mondays and Tuesdays during October, 11am-3pm: In My Shoes: Intimacy - book in for a 20min virtual reality experience exploring a first-person documentary.

Thurs 2 November 6pm-9 pm Experimenta Make Sense - Up Late. Special one-night only performances and happenings to activate your senses through sound and light.
