'Saints Not Sinners' examines the complex relationship between humans and animals often labelled as "feral."

This thought-provoking exhibition challenges viewers to reconsider assumptions about these creatures. Are these animals truly villains - or are they victims of human displacement and environmental disruption?

‘The exhibition underscores the irony of the situation: the very beings that condemn animals for their disruptive behaviours are often the ones who have created the conditions for such behaviours to emerge’, says Gallery Director Mike Mitchell.

The exhibition features artworks by 2024 Redland Art Prize winner Mirra Whale, Queensland artists David Hayes, Kim Wilson, Peter Hudson, and Jake Moss and expressive animal ceramic sculptures by Sydney-based artist Charlotte Le Brocque.

'Saints Not Sinners' encourages viewers to reflect on their interactions with the natural world - inviting a deeper awareness of the roles we play within it.

‘Ultimately, this exhibition invites us to reconsider our relationship with nature’ adds Mitchell.

An opening night event will be held on Friday 6th June from 6 – 8pm. This is a chance to mingle with the artists and learn more about their work and the themes of the exhibition.
